Banff BanffThe historic coastal town of Banff is on the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire is an exposed beach and point break and is separated from the neighbouring village of Macduff by a pretty seven-arch bridge over the River Deveron.

In front of the pavilion at the eastern end of Byondie Bay is a right reef-point, which holds waves to ten feet and can give long rides on a clean northerly swell, from mid- to high-tide. There's also a left that breaks into the rivermouth over sand-and-rocks; it works from low- to mid-tide. The best wind direction is from the south and needs a good north east swell to really work.
